Introduction to Holy Mother Zhonghua

The Matriarch’s last name was Sun, and her given name was Suzhen. Her alternative name was Mingshan, and her Tao title was Huiming. Her hometown was Shan County, Shandong. She was the incarnation of Yuehui Bodhisattva.

The Matriarch was born on the twenty-eighth day of the eighth month of the Chinese lunar calendar in 1895. When she was young, she received education from her family. She was graceful and kind, and she had an affinity with the Buddhas.

In 1918, when she was twenty-four years old, the Matriarch encountered Patriarch Lu and received the Great Tao. Since then the Matriarch exerted continuous effort in saving living beings with mercy.

In 1930, the Matriarch was mandated to receive the Heavenly Decree together with the Patriarch, and she assisted the Patriarch. In 1947, the Patriarch returned to heaven, so the Matriarch succeeded to the Post of Tao Transmission.

In 1950, the Matriarch arrived in Hong Kong, and she went to Malaysia to propagate Tao in the following year.

In 1953, the Matriarch returned to Hong Kong. In 1954, the Matriarch was invited by Elder Han to live in Taiwan. The Matriarch returned to heaven on the twenty-third day of the second month of the Chinese lunar calendar in 1975. She was eighty-one. The Almighty conferred on her the Heavenly Title of Holy Mother Zhonghua.

The Matriarch received respectfully the Heavenly Decree, and she assumed her responsibility with patience and endurance. She is a model for female Tao cultivators in the White Era, and she was a pioneer in propagating Tao in foreign countries. When the true Tao underwent trials and tribulations, the Matriarch always provided protection quietly with her vow of salvation and atonement.
